New foreign trade routes to enhance connectivity of Nansha Port Area of Guangzhou Port
The drop in shipping of international trade has developed significantly, and the Nansha Port area of Guangzhou has opened up a new foreign trade route. The newly launched cargo shipping route is known as the PHXM route and is operated exclusively by Maersk, one of the world's leading shipping companies.
The strategic port of call sequence for PHXM routes includes Shenzhen, Nansha and Manila. The express line from Nansha to Manila in the Philippines aims to increase the frequency of direct flights between the two key locations. The move not only improves the efficiency of cargo shipping, but also greatly reduces the shipping time of co shippers, making it an attractive option for companies engaged in China-Philippines trade.
The route is currently operated by one ship, equipped with a container ship with a capacity of 1700 TEU, guaranteeing 1 shift per week. It takes only 42 hours to transport goods from Nansha to Manila port in the Philippines.
The opening of this route is expected to have a profound impact on the logistics landscape in the region. With the growing demand for faster and more reliable transportation options, PHXM routes will meet the needs of exporters and importers alike. The increased density of direct flights from Nansha to Manila will facilitate smoother trade operations and enable companies to respond more quickly to market demand.
In recent years, Guangzhou Port actively links shipping companies to open up new routes for foreign trade, and constantly optimizes the route layout of Nansha Port area. At the same time, relying on the logistics configuration of the inbound railway, the warehouse in the North of the International Logistics Park, and the cold chain in the South area, Guangzhou Port provides cross-province and cross-city customers with convenient services such as sea-rail combined transport, consolidation, unpacking, warehousing, and so on, providing customers with high-quality, convenient and efficient logistics experience.
